Weaving Patterns

This research project took place in the Peruvian Andes working with the non-profit organization Awamaki to develop a teaching tool for their backstrap loom weaving program. The project translated the techniques of master Quechuan weavers into a series of abstract diagrams.

The booklet realized through this project is a how-to coloring book that is serves as a hands on primer to teaching the rhythm and sequence of weaving as a visual language.
