Froebelian Rugs for UOIEA

Felt rugs woven in the style of Friedrich Froebel’s paperweaving exercise for Kindergarten. The colors of the rugs are derived from Montessori Grammar Symbols. The color palette and pattern of each rug is designed to illustrate one of the Bauhaus lessons in color theory.

All eighteen rugs were installed in the 2010 exhbition Subject of Learning, Object of Study.
